Re: Testing MrMC 3.9.0 for Google Play

For the Shield users who did the last upgrade, it's hard to do some feedback on the beta version. There's a lot of problems due to this upgrade (HDMI lost, Audio Passthrough, Network, Color space switch, VC-1....). 2 changes in the same time, it's not good to do some bug reporting  Our though...

Re: Fire tv audio output transcoding

"Enable Dolby Digital (AC3) transcoding" is the (obviously supported) setting that does the magic.

Re: Testing MrMC 3.9.0 for Google Play

Sorry I am a bit confused by the question and just need some clarity. Why I think something is wrong is because every file plays with proper video levels except vc-1 now. Ok, now *I* am confused ;) What's happening if you disable Mediacodec altogether, are VC1 file really the only ones for which yo...

Re: Testing MrMC 3.9.0 for Google Play

Why do you think something's wrong? It might just mean that shield is using full rather than limited on your setup (depends on the TV capability) The setting has not effect in Mediacodec, as then the shield itself is handling it, but it's active in software/ffmpeg mode, when we own the full renderin...

You don't have any VC1 test files already?
Yes, I do have a couple VC1 samples, but they work fine.
No "grey bar" (probably because they're full frame) nor crashes

Re: mrmc missing on PlayStore after Pie Update

I've removed SafetyNet for now. Could you check whether you can install from the device (remote install might take a while).
You might need to clear the cache of Google Store

Re: Resolution and frame rate change with android P

MrMC used to output 720p59 but now it outputs 1080p29. I'd much prefer 720p59. 1) I'd rather my tv upscale 2) 29.976 and 29.97 video will look fine when output at 59fps. Probably that 1080p29 was added in the latest update, and MrMC gives priority to lower framerate. It will probably requires a "Gi...
